Our Thoughts - The Jamorama guitar course seems to provide a solid foundational knowledge of guitar skills and concepts. The videos include animated graphics which are a nice touch. The course is really geared more toward the beginner guitarist and will teach a new student all the skills they need to move to the intermediate level. Surveys of students who actually purchased and used the course ranged all over the board, from 1 out of 5 to 5 out of 5. Lower scores were typically from students who already had some prior experience on the guitar and claimed they were a little "beyond" the material.

The Instructor - Ben Edwards is a fairly young guitar instructor with touring experinece in a band from "down under", as well as a bachelors degree in education. His passion for teaching shows through in the videos and he has an easy going personality that puts the student at ease.

High Notes - For the beginning guitar student this course will teach you the basics as well as any other. The price is more than reasonable, especially when compared to the cost of private lessons. There are a number of bonus items that are included with the material that some may find interesting, but the "meat and potatoes" is in the quality of the content, which is good. They also include a student support forum to all students that purchase the course.

Low Notes - There are some that may consider the course too basic, but a beginning student will get all they need to get going on the guitar. The claims by this, or any course, that you will be playing like Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton are a little questionable. Actually, a lot questionable! But you should be able to play "songs" by these artists as you complete the course. Some respondents told us that they didn't particularly like taking lessons in front of the computer. To be fair, there were also many that said they preferred it.
